Design Problem

Create a character, including a handmade

non-digital environment for the background. The character should be completed as a vector for scale ability and must match the background created.

My Approach

Inspired by the fantasy Middle Age genre, created an elvish-like knight character in Adobe Illustrator utilising the pen and width tool, gradients as well as blending modes to incorporate dynamic lighting. For the background used acrylic on canvas to paint a “mysterious forest” environment, incorporating the lighting into the scene.
All elements were assembled together in Adobe Photoshop for final touches.
