Design Problem

Create a visual identity and app for Cannelle Patisserie. The business requires a logo, icon and food app for delivery, in store pick-up and catering. The design should be bold yet elegant, while clearly presenting as a patisserie through type and logo. The app should be clean and easy to navigate.

My Approach

Inspired by the names origins, drew inspiration from French design and architecture to create a bold serif paired with an elegant cursive type to create a clear hierarchy and balance between the two.
For the icon took inspiration from Cannelle to create a cinnamon roll that incorporates an altered “p” from the logo in order to make a swirl for the scroll and icing, while representing the patisserie itself. Utilising the scrolls icon for the apps icon with added “splash” elements help create a more visually unique design.
Within the app have used all assets and colour to keep it cohesive, while maintaining legibility, easy navigation and user friendly interface.
